Chewy

Well Timmy has gone to far and pushed me to take drastic measures.
He pooped not once but twice in my bedroom and to top it off
Buster Peebody rolled in it. The piddling from the 2 boys is out of control too. They just keep getting worse.
So I have had it. Timmy is going to be crated. FiFi and Buster Peebody are going in a wire exercise pen but Timmy will jump out so I have a huge wire crate I will turn into a bedroom for him. Lots of blankets and pillows. I want him to be comfortable. I just want to confine them a bit more. I have a HUGE room so they don't seem to have a prob messing up one side and sleeping on the other. They will only have to go in it when I am at work or out in the evening. I come home at lunch everyday to let them out, so they really have no excuse for being so dirty. So there will be pics of Timmy in jail coming soon....

Anyhoo..Two of my friendliest and loving rabbits died this winter which has only left me with one tame one. The rest are nuts. So I thought I would share some pics of him.

These are Chewy as a baby when I got him. I often go to a livestock auction where the neglect and cruelty these farmers bring on their animals is unreal. My vet has called the SPCA on many different occasions when he sees the shape of the animals I buy there. Anyhoo as you can see Chewy had little hair from mites. He also had bad earmites.

This is Chewy now. Isn't he a handsome boy? He is the biggest sweetheart and I love him to bits. He is a Rex rabbit and has fur like velvet. I base most of my bunny felties on him, little white feet and tail..I'm going to take better pics of him for cards in the future.

Chewy is soooo cute, hugs to you for taking care of so many animals!

And I'm sorry about Timmy needing to be crated. He's getting up there in years, isn't he? You gotta do what you gotta do.

OOOOOH no. Poor timmy. Everytime I do something wrong mommy threatens to crate me. I've never actually been in a crate but I think the gate she uses while she is at work is bad enough. I can't belive you threatened him and he still poos!! Poor timmy.

Chewy is so adorable! I'm always happy to hear about animals getting adopted from the SPCA and going to new loving homes. Once we've settled into our new place we'll be going to our local one and starting the look for a little pup to live with us (it's very exciting!)

Have a great day!

Thank You for showing pictures of Chewy!! My mom raised and showed Netherland Dwarf rabbits for 10+ years. She was 4-H rabbit queen 4 years in a row:) That was many years ago!!!

Don't worry too much about the crate issue with Timmy. He will soon think of it as his home:)

Have a good Hump day!!
XOXOXO

Bad boy Timmy! Pottying on the floor is not good. Now you are going to doggy jail. Poor Timmy.

Chewy is very cute. That farmer who treated him badly should get into trouble. Put in bad farmer jail or something. Mom used to have a couple of bunnies before she got me.

Wags & wiggles,
Bijou

Chewy is so cute.. It just wants mom to get that farm sooner. She wants to retire to a farm and have an animal rescue..

We feel your pain - when Cooper came home with Mum he looked terrible and he had ear infections, teeth issues and he really smelled bad. But two years later, he is fat and happy. There is a special place in Heaven for people like you who open their heart and home to abused animals.

We also feel for your poop and pee dilemma. Mum has to get up at 2:30am each morning when Dottie gets up and goes out in the living room to pee. It is a race for Mum to get to her before she squats. LOL! And of course, Dottie doesn't want to go outside because it is cold. We think this is good exercise for Mum - keeps her active. BOL!

Love, Dozer, Dottie and Cooper

chewy is a handsome bun and i'm so glad you saved him. i'm amazed at the neglect so many animals suffer at the hands of man. so we do what we can to change the world for one life at a time and you can tell chewy is blessed.

sounds like Timmy is having a rough time, no fun dealing with that but sounds like crating is the right answer to help him learn and dogs do love to have a "den" so it's a good way to teach.

What adorable bunnies..It is so sad to see what people do to animals..thinking they have no feelings..sad. Timmy is going to enjoy his new bed..and be a good boy..
