Shows!!! Part 2

So to continue on with my rabbit, chicken and cat show series I found that all the traveling, moving around and excitement really tires these animals out.

As everybody in the world knows since I never shut up about it..I have no camera ...so Mr B let me use his little point and shoot. This turned out to be a good thing. The little lens fit right through the bars of the cage and I tuned off the flash and beeps. I was able to get a few good pics.

So when you are at a show you have to come up with many different ways to get a few minutes of sleep.



Baby New Zealand Rabbits

 These young New Zealands find taking turns napping in a group setting works for them. This is the only place in the show where you find rabbits together. They are babies in the Meat Pen class.



French Lop

This French Lop uses his ear to rest on..very clever I say. There are different types of Lops. A lop is a rabbit with hanging ears. There are Mini Lops, French Lops, Holland Lops, Velveteen Lops , Giant Lops and others I can't think of right now. I have trouble telling most of them apart. So we will just call them Lops :)



Flemish Giant

Some like this Flemish Giant just flop right out, keeping his toy close by.

He is really out for the count!!

This little  Lop was trying to stay awake but finally gave up.

This little Nankin hen sleeps with one eye open.

Belgian Hare

This Belgian Hare was stretching after sleeping in this pic. Looks like he woke up on the wrong side of the bed! The Belgian Hare is an endangered Breed and this was the first time I have ever seen one. There will be way more about this breed in another post soon!!

This black hen looks dead but is actually stretched out sound asleep!



French Lop

To bright with all the lights??? Then cover your eyes with your ears. Works great for this French Lop.

Sometimes you have to sleep standing up.

This little lop slept in a corner

Puff up and make yourself big then maybe people will let you sleep!



Netherland Dwarf



This little Netherland Dwarf is so tired. These guys are little rabbits with huge eyes and short ears. Adorable!



Flemish Giant



Mr Flemish giant just flops out. These are huge rabbits weighing up to 20 lbs. I use to own one named Rupert and they are very sweet and docile.

This guy looks super tired.

Mini Rex

Another wiped out bunny. This is a Mini Rex and they have a velvet like fur that is super soft to the touch. A great breed.

Hey..this is not a rabbit or a chicken..oh yeah..the cat show. I think i woke him up.

Hello! I'm not sure if anyone out there is still looking at this blog but after a lloooonnnggg absence we are back! At least I am..can't find Timmy...oh well . We or I wanted to wish everyone a happy Easter!!! I love Bunny Day.

I'm sure Timmy wanted to say something..he must be around here somewhere. Let me have a look around and ask some of the gang.

(yes gang, even in town I still have a funny farm gang.tee hee hee)

This is my shed. Mr B took all his stuff out and turned it over to me. He also put hydro in it.

He's a good man my MrB and I love living with him full time now.

Hey Chicken (I keep her hidden in my shed..LOL..she is a townie chicken now) have you seen Timmy? The little naked dog?? No?...okay

Dust Bunny have you seen Timmy? (the Dust Bunny was adopted from the shelter in Nov. She is a lionhead rabbit and a total sweetie!) "Oh I saw him all right, he tried to eat my bread but I stopped him. Let me have a look to see if he is still in here"

"My friend Mountain Dew said she saw him run into the house about an hour ago"

Sweet dreams Timmy.

The Dentist and of course Timmy.

My fiance is a big dog lover so he is trying to bond with my little guys. Buster Peebody thinks he is great, FiFi is beginning to really like him..Pippin LOVES him but then there is Timmy. Timmy has played with him, something he never does and allows him to scratch his butt but his attitude towards my fiance(MrB) is changing. Supposedly he gives MrB the stink eye. I didn't believe it until he took some pics of Timmy sitting on my lap looking at him. He WAS giving him the stink eye!!!. Now whenever MrB comes in Timmy starts shaking and stares at me with those big "oh help me" eyes. Mr B says he just does it to get me to come over and cuddle him, which I do..Mr B says he is a smug, little bas***d!!It also does not help when we walked into the kitchen and there was Timmy standing in the middle of the table. Mr B gave me the stink eye then.

I think the bonding still needs a little work...

So Timmy was helping me heal after my dentist appointment and we were discussing what we would look like if we were rabbits..so I went to one of my fav. web sites..Disapproving Rabbits..to find pics of what we were talking about.

Timmy and I decided that if he was a rabbit he would look like this

Timmy thinks he has more hair than he actually does.

This was me at the dentist yesterday

2 1/2 hours in the chair..they finally put a wedge in my jaw to help keep my mouth open...They put enough cotton in there to stuff a bear..5 freezing needles and the one tooth would still not freeze all the way so the dentist says "hang on..I only need to drill for 2 more seconds" Longest 2 secs. of my life! I came out with a fat lip, a frozen eye and nose and and the inability to eat applesauce without it dripping out of my mouth..and I paid for this...here's $100 bucks..please punch me in the face...
