My fiance Mr B found a sick squirrel so he has been taking care of it. It has become quite tame but it is a skittish little thing. Well it got loose on the weekend and long story short ..I grabbed it and it sunk it's teeth into my finger and would not let go!! Mr B had to pry it's jaws apart to make it let go. The squirrel was covered with blood, Mr B was splattered and it was dripping out of my finger. I have been bitten, scratched knocked over by animals..heck..I even sewed my finger with an industrial sewing machine but nothing ever hurt like this! I was almost faint from the pain. So while I was cursing and swearing Mr B had to go make sure the squirrel was okay. "Poor Murrell" he says.."he's all covered with blood and freaked out"
He was worried about the squirrel more than me..and I'm going to marry this man..the thing that makes me feel good though is while he was hanging off my finger, I was pulling him...so I think I stretched him about an inch!
anyhoo..it is swollen and red. Bled for 8 hrs on and off but it's not infected...yet..so no felting for a bit..but here is what I had done before it happened!!
My Basset Hound
A handsome dalmation
A cute bear I dyed with kool ade!!
A border collie ..who just sold actually :)
I'll try to catch up on all your blogs when I have a bit of down time..TTFN

omg, you poor thing...husbands (men) are all alike. doesn't matter where you are from, what culture you come from, they are all alike! ;)
your felties are so cute! that move sounds big! hope all is well and your pets and horses make a smooth adjustment.
LOL...you have some of the craziest things happen to you. Good luck with the finger and try to go easy on the squirrel :)
Oh wow, I had a stray kitten that I was trying to rescue from a warehouse bite right through my finger once, but he let go right after. (I didn't let go and he settled down, lol.) I can't imagine having to pry somethings mouth off you!!!
You are soooo talented with the felties, their faces are so expressive!
I think you should let me "take care" of that squirrel for you, BOL! I like your felties too, I want to play wiff one but mom says "no!" :-/
Ouchie! I hope your finger doesn't hurt too bad. Wild critters are dangerous!
Love the felties!

Men!!!!! I hope you recover soon from the bite. Great little critters. I LOVE the Border Collie.
Be careful with your finger. Those squirrelys have yucky germs. I hope you don't start storing nuts in the corner and climbing trees. Timmy you have to keep an eye out for unusual activity.
licks and sniffs, Sasha
Poor you! We sure hope you're feeling better. Our mom says if she was bit by a squirrel, there would be lots of crying and swearing.
Congratulations on your new job! We hope you love it!
We love the animals you made.
Pug love from,
Pearl & Daisy
I hope your finger will be okay! The felties are beautiful, esp. the hound. We think you made a great choice to retire and be with animals. That's the best life.
love & wags,
River
Lol poor Mr Squirrel;o) Now make sure you look after your finger, dont want any nasty squirrel bugs...
Hope your new job is cool, more time for felting? Finger permitting!
Sounds like my husband, "Oh you'll be fine, after you put on your bandaid, do you think you could start supper?"
Last night we had ANOTHER snapping turtle in our yard, the girls practically tripped over him. I made him take him to the pond down the road, but first I made a 3 foot paint brush, put on my steel toed boots and painted our address on his shell and the name "Bubba". Is that legal? I'm afraid Fish and Wildlife will come nocking on my door.
Oh, I love your latest felties! Especially that little basset hound!
Beautiful work! I´m sorry about your finger, I hope you will feel ok soon (((hugs))
So sorry to read about the bite. That is frightening. Those teeth on a squirrel are awful. I realize I didn't have to say that, you already know that.
Your felting is just beautiful. A beautiful gift you have, they look so real.
Ouch! Hope it's healing well.
The basset is just so cute. And the border collie is getting close to a papillon! Hope you're back to felting soon.
Hey, are you moved in yet?
Wags & wiggles,
Bijou
Hey, hope all is well with you.
I may be slow, but checking in.
Take care.
checking in on you and Timmy..How are things. Hope all is well..Rosebud.
Oh, that sounds really painful! You are very charitable - I think I would have thrown the squirrel out to fend for himself at that point ( and quite possibly my husband too!)
I LOVE that border collie!
At least you got the satisfaction of stretching the little varmint! I hope your finger is better!
Okay, where are you? How is Timmy doing..Hope all is well with you and know you are missed.
xoxoRosebud.
