The dog show is over!!

Well for all of you who didn't watch the 6 HOURS of TV coverage of the Westminster Dog show I will sum it up for you with some pics.
I did not take these pics but stole them all from the internet so I can't take any credit for any of them:)

So first in the Hound Group was a Scottish Deerhound

He is the oldest winner ever at 10 yrs of age. He retired after almost dying 4 years ago but was brought back to the show ring and are we all glad he did!

Timmy again...

So today I groomed Timmy. I bathed him, shaved his fuzzy back and chest, clipped his muzzle etc. By the time I was done he was one p****d off dude. So we went and had a nap.

Well I had told Hatz4bratz hat I would try to get some better shots of Timmy in her clothes. So I set everything up, got some treats and crossed my fingers. Well Timmy has been very difficult to say the least for the last while to do anything with. He is an older man now and gets quite grumpy. He seemed to enjoy the warm lights and the treats though so we got some cute clothing shots. They were quickly edited but if Hatz4brats wants them I can clean them up.

ANYHOO... I am sitting at my computer working on the pics when I look up and see this!!!!

Timmy meant business. He had grabbed his glasses and put on his most professional tie. You know when Timmy means business because this tie has purple in it and Timmy LOVES purple.BTW..the white streak in the front of Timmy's hair is natural. He has the most beautiful silver and grey hair.

So he starts going on about modeling rights, royalties, terms and conditions. He starts making demands of things He wants in the studio. I knew he was a diva..but come on...So he starts going on about how he is not just another pretty face and he is a character actor and I need to take him more seriously.

So we finally made some terms up, I finally signed off and he walked away all pleased with himself. No wonder they say don't work with animals..geez...

We won't be posting again for a couple of days because Timmy and I always watch the Westminster Dog show from Madison Square Gardens every year. It is on Mon and Tues. and I hope I get the channel it is being shown on. Timmy is quite catty with his comments about all the dogs and always says he would have won it had his past been different..who knows..maybe he is right!

It was the coldest morning yet here at the funny farm, freezing but sunny. Many moons ago I babysat my sisters dog. On a morning very similar to this one she greeted me covered with frost and so I took this picture. I cleared out the background and blew it up and gave it to her as a Christmas gift.

IMO it is one of the best shots I ever took.

So to continue the story , I went out to the stable to give water and check on the horses . I have a old horse and an old pony. Both will be 23yrs old. The old pony is not doing that great health wise but I do my best to keep him comfortable. Well my pony Roo was covered with frost also! So I ran in, got the camera, took off my gloves and froze my fingers for a few pics

Not quite as dramatic as the dog but still neat. He's such a fuzzy little guy.

Not to be left out my horse Aldante was also frosted but since he is white you can't see anything but the hay frozen in his mane. Don't you love his "tippy" ears? He is a camera hog.

Now the goats wanted in on the action. They were in the barn all night so they were ready to get outside and eat. Notice how Aldante is in every shot!

I only have 2 goats left now since Percy my black and white guy had to be put to sleep last month at the age of 12. Poor Percy...we all miss you.My male Jacob always impresses me with his marking, eyes and horns. So here are a few pics of him, eating of course. That seems to be all goats ever do.

Being a bottle fed baby from day one and having him fixed makes him a great pet. He is always gentle and very careful with his horns. Loves a good scratch between them! I wish Lily was as careful with hers!

Dog Art

Before Christmas I decided to try something different with painting. I bought a bunch of little 5 x 5 canvas, I never paint this small.

Anyhoo it was to make postage less and just to try something different. I also decided to "loosen" up my style a bit so I decided these should be fast and easy pictures.

I did both in record time and didn't fuss over the details. Turned out okay I think. I have 3 cats started just waiting for me to finally pick up a paintbrush after all this time.

I was going to leave them unframed but my fiance insisted they would look better with a little thin border. So he did them up and he was right..they do look better.I hate it when he is right!

So I guess I will take better pictures of them and list them in the shop. I don't know though, I will kinnda miss the pug staring at me and the beagle begging..we'll see...
