Pippin

I decided to get some pics of Pippin. Poor Pippin does not get the attention he deserves because he is not an indoor dog. He comes in the house at night but must be chained to the wall because of his destructive and dirty habits. He does however get to spend time with me outside which hasn't been that much lately due to all the rain and ice. When he isn't covered in mud and gunk I bring him into my craft area where he hangs out for a few hours with the gang. Timmy HATES him so we won't let Timmy know we did this post..okay???shhhhhh

So I slept all day which is normal for me then decided at sunset to go play ball with Pip. Here are ALOT of pics to let you see how it all went.

So I go in the stable and there at the door is my shy little runt of a cat you folks have never met. I ran out of names awhile ago so her name is Kitty. She has a blue eye and a green eye. She was one of the dying kittens I took in last year. Unfortunately her sis didn't make it and Kitty has permanent damage to her blue eye from the horrible infection she had. She is timid, never leaves the barn. She would love to be a house cat and if I could find a nice quiet home I would let her go in an instant. As it stands right now she will be moving to my sis's farm with Ollie. My fiance is so allergic we can't keep them. She likes hunting mice so she might be okay..anyhoo..

We can see you hiding behind those old shovels!!

So I pet her and grab a tennis ball and head to our little top field.

Pip comes tearing up with his favourite toy. A bucket..yes a bucket..he loves his bucket. Has 2 of them actually, stole them from the goats. I refuse to throw the bucket!

"OK buckets gone...throw the damn ball already"

"I'm Superman!!!" The ball is up to the right if you look close.

"Higher...you throw like a girl!"

"Look how fast I can run..Look how much hair I have...screw you Timmy"
They really don't get along
g.
Look here comes Oliver to check out what all the excitement is all about.

The goats came to watch but can't figure out why he would waste all his time chasing a ball, bringing it back and then having me just throw it away again. The goats really don't get it.
They also don't understand golf either ..or tennis.or hockey..you get the idea.

Well now that he has an audience he really starts to show off
"Throw me the Cat!!" he yells

No one's throwing Ollie!! He's out of there...

So Ollie runs away with the goats following..what a silly gang they are..

So his audience is gone but Pippin still demands"Throw me something!"

So I threw him the horse. Let's see him catch that muddy old guy!

So the game ended as the sun went down. Pippin was panting and covered with muck.

No sitting on the carpet with me tonight!

It was the coldest morning yet here at the funny farm, freezing but sunny. Many moons ago I babysat my sisters dog. On a morning very similar to this one she greeted me covered with frost and so I took this picture. I cleared out the background and blew it up and gave it to her as a Christmas gift.

IMO it is one of the best shots I ever took.
So to continue the story , I went out to the stable to give water and check on the horses . I have a old horse and an old pony. Both will be 23yrs old. The old pony is not doing that great health wise but I do my best to keep him comfortable. Well my pony Roo was covered with frost also! So I ran in, got the camera, took off my gloves and froze my fingers for a few pics

Not quite as dramatic as the dog but still neat. He's such a fuzzy little guy.

Not to be left out my horse Aldante was also frosted but since he is white you can't see anything but the hay frozen in his mane. Don't you love his "tippy" ears? He is a camera hog.

Now the goats wanted in on the action. They were in the barn all night so they were ready to get outside and eat. Notice how Aldante is in every shot!

Lily in the snow

I only have 2 goats left now since Percy my black and white guy had to be put to sleep last month at the age of 12. Poor Percy...we all miss you.My male Jacob always impresses me with his marking, eyes and horns. So here are a few pics of him, eating of course. That seems to be all goats ever do.

Being a bottle fed baby from day one and having him fixed makes him a great pet. He is always gentle and very careful with his horns. Loves a good scratch between them! I wish Lily was as careful with hers!

Spring is in the Air!!

Well things are a little crazy here at the funny farm! I assume it's because Spring is in the air!

We are holding a baby shower for my sister this weekend and my Border Collie Pippin got a hold of the big bag of diapers I bought and tore them all up. He also demolished my toilet paper and paper towels. That's what I get for forgetting to put things away...but I was MAD!! He really is a brat.

Buster Peebody dragged out some of the wool I use for crafting and had it thrown about everywhere in my bedroom. Now all the pretty colors are mixed up..sigh..He also got into Hansel's (the ferret)cage and rolled in his litter box...sigh again. So last night Buster had a bath. He really did need one though since he still smelled rather ripe from the dead frog he rolled in at my sis's farm. Buster is a 1/2 poodle, 1/2 Brussels Griffion. He has terrible teeth and I think he is going to cost me alot of money for dental work. I bought him on impulse at a chicken auction. Seems I buy alot of animals on impulse at chicken sales.. He was so ugly he was cute. So I waited till the end of the day and haggled his price down to almost nothing. He grew into a short, fat , thick dog but his personality is very sweet. He just likes to smell bad.

Finally my goats got loose and ate all my neighbours Tulips. Of course they left the stems and leaves behind so it was even more noticeable. Whoever said goats will eat anything must have never owned one because my 3 are so finicky they turn their noses up at everything.. My brother is my neighbour and his daughter considers one of the goats to be her cousin, so I didn't get yelled at too much.

This is Lily, my nieces cousin! LOL.

Behind her is Aldante my horse. He is probably wondering where all the little apples went. I think Lily knows!

One of my goats is named Percival, Percy for short. He adopted me many years ago. He just moved in one day from another farm and refused to go home. They would take him back and he would just return again. So I let him stay. He is a large black and white goat. Must be around 10 yrs. old now. He is the most annoying of the three and the smartest

This is Percy and Lily when she was just a little girl!

This is Lily-Belle when I bought her. As you can see her mouth is always full of something! Her figure shows that her eating habits are grand.

I bought her at auction. She had badly infected ears and mouth but she came through it all with flying colors.

.

She has spikey sharp horns and knows how to use them. She is short and fat and always looks pregnant.

Finally there is Jacob. I got him at a auction as a newborn. I bottle fed him till he was a big boy.

He is the most placid of the three and is very gentle. I had him neutered as a baby and he grew quite large. He is almost as tall as my pony and has the most impressive rack of horns I have seen on a goat. He spends alot of time scratching his back with them. He just loves Lily. There have been others but they have all passed on so now I am down to this little bunch.

NICE RACK JACOB!!!
They are a pack of trouble but fun.
So I hope these guys smarten up for next week or it will be off to reform school for the bunch of them!
Have a great weekend!
